1 (12-ounce) package frozen diced apples, defrosted according to package directions, or 4 medium apples, cored and diced
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
1 large egg
Vegetable oil for frying (about 2 cups)

Directions:
Directions:
1) Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; stir in milk. Add apples and egg; stir.
2) Heat oil in large skillet to 350°F.
3) Drop mixture by tablespoons into hot oil. Brown on all sides; drain. Serve warm with cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar or whatever topping desired.
