4 cups flour
1 lb Crisco shortening
2 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
6 eggs
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup raisins
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp cinnamon
8 oz (1 cup) milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º F.

Mix sugar and Crisco until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and black pepper together. Slowly add to egg mixture and mix alternating with milk until well mixed. Add nuts and raisins. Mix with wooden spoon.

Roll into 1 inch balls. Place dough on ungreased cookie sheet about 1 inch apart. Place in the middle of the oven and bake about 12 minutes.
