1 to 1/2 cup of Bacon grease
1 cube of butter
2 cups of celery with leaves
2 sausage with sage
2 small onions
4 eggs beaten
milk
salt and pepper
carrots
2 bags of dry bread unseasoned bread cubes

Directions:
Directions:
Saute celery with leaves and onions in bacon grease and butter. Add to bread cubes
Cook sausage with sage well and add to bread cubes.
Mix eggs with milk and add to moisten bread cubes. Salt and pepper to taste and add shredded carrots to make look pretty.
Keep mixing until bread cubes are moist and everything is well blended.

Stuff the turkey and with can bake the remaining mixture in a 350º oven for about 30 minutes. Depending on your taste. Some like it crispy and some like it more moist.

This wonderful recipe has been handed down for many generations. It is the best stuffing there is none like it. Grandma Clara Ready made this every year and her daughters have continued to make it with their families at Thanksgiving...it can be made any time during the year as it is really good. You can vary the recipe for your taste and not use as much grease.
