4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup oil
2 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

3 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Syrup for topping:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2 tsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine eggs, sugar, oil, coconut flavoring, buttermilk, coconut and nuts. Add dry ingredients.
Bake at 325º for 1 1/4 hours.

Syrup for topping: Bring to boil, remove from heat. Add 1 tsp. coconut flavoring. Poke holes through the bread and pour syrup over bread. Set up for at least 4 hours before removing from pan.
