Ingredients:  
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 cups chopped, peeled tomatoes or one 14 1/2oz
can whole, peeled tomatoes, cut up
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 8 oz- can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon snipped fresh dill or 1 teaspoon
dried dillweed
dash of pepper
1/4 cup sour cream
Fresh dill (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan cook onion and garlic in butter till tender but not brown.Stir in fresh tomatoes or undrained canned tomatoes, chicken broth, tomato sauce, dill,and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered , for 30 minutes. Cool vegetable mixture slightly. Place mixture, half at a time, in a blender container or food processor bowl. Cover and blend or process till smooth. Return mixture to the saucepan; heat through. Serve with sour and, if desired, garnish with fresh dill.
