1 1/2 cups Butter
2 cups Sugar
6 Eggs
1 cup Milk
1 tsp. Brandy Extract
or 3/4 cup Milk and 1/4 cup Brandy
1 tsp Vanilla
3 1/2 cups Flour
1/2 tsp, salt
2 cups Golden Raisins
1 cup chopped Dried Apricots
1/2 cup chopped candied Orange Peel
1 cup coarsely chopped Walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter until light and creams. Gradually add sugar, beating until smooth. Beat eggs together and add to butter mixture. Combine milk, brandy and vanilla. Mix flour and salt together. Alternately add milk mix and flour mix to butter mix. Fold in fruits and nuts. Pour mixture into butter and floured tube pan. Bake at 275º for 2 1/2 hours or until it test done. Cool. Unmold.

If my memory serves me correctly. It seems that it took more that 2 1/2 hours to bake the cake, so be sure to test to see if it is done in the center.
I don't like fruit cake but this cake is delicious. I like the 3/4 c milk and 1/4 c Brandy best.
