2/3 cup Shortening
1 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, 1 T. Water
1 t. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups Flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. soda
2 cups Chocolate Chips
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together shortening and sugar, adding in water and vanilla. Beat in 2 eggs. Mix together flour , cocoa, salt and soda and stir it into first mixture. Add chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 7-9 minutes.( pre- heat oven) Do not overbake. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 min. before removing from pan. If they are not "chewy" ...you baked them too long.
