1 package cocktail smokie ausages
1 lb bacon
1 c. brown sugar

Directions:

Cut bacon strips in thirds, wrap each piece around a sausage, skewer with toothpick. Place on baking sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake 350º for 20 minutes.

Matt's favorite--originally from Janet Cramer, here named in honor of Welch ancestors Rebecca Rogers, Emma Rogers Shaw, and Ann Shaw Welch (grandmother, mother, and daughter), who were known for their delicious sausages and meat treats called "penny ducks."
