7 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 t. ginger
1 t. salt
1 c. shortening
1 c. molasses
1 t. baking soda
2 eggs
1 c. sour cream or sour milk

Directions:
Directions:
To 4 teacups of flour, add sugar, ginger, and salt, rub in teacup of shortening. Add teacup of molasses and baking soda dissolved in warm water, beat. Beat eggs well into flour, add molasses last. Add sour cream, then enough more flour to roll out (3 cups). Bake and ice. Very good.
