2 1/2 c chicken broth
1 c wild rice, rinsed
4 slices bacon, diced
2 med. carrots, chopped
1 med. onion, chopped
1/2 c celery, chopped
2 c sliced mushrooms
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp dried marjoram
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 c chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan, combine rice & broth. Bring to boil, cover & simmer for 35 to 40 minutes or until rice is tender. Do not drain.
Fry bacon until crisp. Remove from pan. Saute carrots, onion & celery of 3 minutes. Add mushrooms & seasonings & cook for 2 minutes longer.
Combine rice, vegetables, bacon & pecans in a greased, 2 quart casserole. Cover & bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
6 to 8 servings
