2 c. sugar
4 T. butter
1 c. water
Pinch of salt
oil of peppermint, few drops to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, water, salt and butter slowly at first, to the hard ball stage, 265-270º. Pour into well greased flat pan or on a marble slab. Let cool enough to handle. Pull until slightly creamy. Add the flavoring and coloring after the mints have been pulled several minutes. Cut into 1" pieces. Leave until creamed, then store in air tight container for several hours.
