2 c self rising corn meal mix
1 medium onion-chopped
1 c milk
1 egg -well beaten

Directions:
Combine cornmeal and onion; mix well. Stir in milk & egg. Drop by rounded tsp. in deep hot fat where fish have been fired. Cook 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, turning once. Remove from fat & drain. Makes about 3 dozen.
