1# Jimmy Dean hot pork sausage
1# ground beef
1 green cabbage
1 can Rotel Tomatoes
1 cup raw rice
2 lg white onion diced fine
1 med. bell pepper diced fine
6 ribs celery diced fine
2 Tbs finely minced fresh garlic
1 cup milk
1 Tbs flour
8 slices American cheese
1/2 stick butter
salt & pepper to taste

Preheat oven 350. Cut cabbage into cubes. Wash and drain. In a large dutch oven, brown sausage and ground beef. Add onions, bell peppers, celery, garlic and saute a few minutes. Add Rotel tomatoes and its liquid. Add 1/4 cup water and raw rice cook about 5 minutes. add cabbage and cook 5 more minutes. In a saucepan melt butter and flour and cook a few minutes Add milk and cheese slices, melt cheese all is smooth. Mix this cheese
into meat and cabbage-rice mixture. Place into a greased casserole and bake 1 hr- 1 1/2 hrs Keep casserole covered. this casserole freezes
