1 14 oz. bag caramels
½ c. evaporated milk
¾ c. butter or margarine
1 c. pecans or walnuts
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cake according to directions. Grease and flour 9 X 13 pan. Pour half the cake batter into the pan and bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels, butter and milk in microwave or in pan over very low heat. Remove cake from the oven and pour caramel mixture over top of cake. Top with chocolate chips and nuts. Pour second half of cake batter over cake and bake another 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

Have caramel mixture prepared before you start cake as it takes quite a while to unwrap and melt the caramels.
