6 medium onions, sliced
1 cup diced celery
8 T. margarine, divided
1/4 cup flour
1 t. salt
1/8 t. pepper
1 1/2 cups milk
1.3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and celery in 3 T. margarine until tender and set aside.
Melt remaining butter. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil and cook. Stir until thickened.

Pour sauce over vegetables and toss to coat. Pour into an ungreased 2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and pecans. Bake uncovered at 350º 20 - 25 minutes.
