3 cups diced raw potatoes
1/2 cup diced celery
1/2 cup diced onion
11/2 cups water
2 chicken bouillion cubes
5 slices bacn fried and crumbled
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sour cream
2tbs. flour
1 tbs. chopped chives

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan,combine potatoes,celery,onion,water,bouillion cubes and salt
Cover and cook over low heat until vegetables are tender, not mushy, about 20 minutes. Add 1 cup milk. Stir and heat . Mix together sour cream,flour, chives and remaining 1 cup milk..Gradually add this mixture to soup, stirring until thickened .Add crumbled bacon. Enjoy!!!

Potatoes were a staple food in our family fixed in many ways, Boiled, raw fried(which were delicious) and potato dumplings , which we called Kumla.. I often wondered since how they manged to grow enough potatoes for our large family. New potatoes in the spring were also a great treat. this is my favorete potato soup recipe.
