* 2 cups (16 ounces) 4% cottage cheese
* 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
* 1 egg, lightly beaten
* 3/4 teaspoon salt
* Garlic salt and pepper to taste
* 4 cups (16 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
* 1 package (16 ounces) elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
* Paprika, optional

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, salt, garlic salt and pepper.
In 9x13 greased casserole dish place 1/2 of macaroni. Slice 1 stick butter onto noodles. Salt and pepper. Spread cottage cheese mixture. Sprinkle with 2 cups shredded cheddar. Top with remaining noodles. Slice 1 stick butter over noodles. Salt and pepper. Cover with remaining shredded cheese. Pour 1/2 cup milk over casserole. Bake at 350º for 30-45 minutes until heated through. Sprinkle with paprika and serve.
