Ingredients:
Ingredients:
8 c. Popped Popcorn
2 c. Chow Mein Noodles (uncooked)
3/4 c. Dried Cranberries
3/4 c. White Chocolate Chips
1 1/3 c. Brown Sugar
1 c. Butter
1/2 c. Corn Syrup
1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
1 Tbsp. Chinese 5 Spice Powder
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix popcorn and noodles in a very large buttered bowl. Combine sugar, butter, corn syrup and cream of tartar in a small heavy saucepan. Bring to boil and let boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat, stir in 5 spice powder, baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn mixture, quickly add in cranberries and white chocolate chips and mix with two buttered forks until it's evenly coated. Turn out onto a large buttered (or wax papered) cookie sheet and press into an even layer (I find this recipe actually made a cookie sheet and a cake pan). Cool and break into pieces or cut to serve.

Personal Notes:
I sort of mixed two recipes we have to make this one for our loved ones with nut allergies - the base of the recipe is my Mom's 'Popcorn Nut Concoction' and instead of the roasted nuts, I used an idea from a recipe for the Chinese spice popcorn and then just added the cranberries and white chocolate because they seemed like a nice Christmas season additive ;) It turned out pretty tasty - well, lot's of people asked for the recipe, so I guess it was a success!
