SINGLE RECIPE
2 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup + 2 tbsp. butter
3/4 cup water (about)

I ALWAYS TRIPLE THE RECIPE
6 cups Flour
3 tsp. Baking powder
3 tsp. Salt
1 cup Butter
2 1/2 cups Water, (about)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together into mixing bowl. Cut in butter like when making pie dough. Add enough water to make a soft dough. Take out of bowl and knead on counter until smooth.

Divide into apricot size balls and roll out into circles and bake on hot cast iron skillet until done, turning frequently to cook thoroughly.

*Triple measurements. These always go fast, so I triple the recipe and they never go to waste (but they do go on the other waist.)

Number Of Servings:
Number Of Servings:
normally makes 16, but I tripple the recipe
Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I obtained this recipe in the early 1970's from my Woman’s Day Encyclopedia of Cookery (but changed a few things such as less butter) while in Cucamonga, CA, right before we moved to Saudi Arabia. To this day my family loves these with a pot of beans or a pot of soup. They are DELICIOUS the next day too.
