5 qt. artichokes, sliced
1 qt. onions, sliced
6 green bell peppers, chopped
1/2 gal. vinegar
1 9-oz. jar prepared mustard
3/4 cup plain flour
2 to 3 lbs. sugar
1 T. turmeric
1 T. black pepper
3 T. mustard seed
1 T. celery seed
Red pepper
1 gal. water
2 cups salt

Directions:
Soak artichokes, onions and peppers in 1 gallon of water and 2 cups of salt overnight. Squeeze water from them. Use a towel. Mix vinegar and spices. Add to vegetables and boil for 10 minutes. Then add mustard and flour which has been made into a paste. Stir. Boil for 5 minutes. Put into jars.
