1/2 c butter, room temp
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 can cherry pie filling
Topping:
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 flour
1/2 c nuts, chopped
2 T cold butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift together flour, salt,and baking powder. Add slowly to creamed mixture and then beat well. add the vanilla and beat. PAM a 9x13" pan. Put half the batter in the pan. Cover with the pie filling. Cover the pie filling with the balance of the batter. In a small dish mix the topping mixture of sugar, cinnamon, flour, and nuts. Cut in the butter and blend with 2 knives or your fingers until blended. Add topping to the pan. bake 50 min. until the center comes out dry when tested. Cool on a rank and cut in squares.
