3/4 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. mashed bananas (three medium)
2 eggs, well beaten
1 t. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 t. baking soda
3/4 t. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Blend in bananas, eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together and to banana mixture alternating with buttermilk, mixing completely after each addition. Stir in walnuts. Pour into greased 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 50 minutes. Or pour into 5 greased small disposable loaf pans and bake for 35 minutes.
