3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
14 oz. buttermilk

Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º
Sift the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture
Pour in buttermilk and using your fingers, immediately begin incorporating milk and flour
WORK QUICKLY
As soon as the mixture comes together, turn out onto a floured surface.
Gently knead dough 2 or 3 times only.
Pat dough into a 6-8 inch diameter disc.
Gently and quickly cut an "x" across the top of the dough.
Place on baking sheet and put in oven.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until bread sounds hollow when you tap the bottom.
