Glenfiddich sauce

1/3cup [75g] unsalted butter
1/2 cup [125ml] granulated sugar
1/4 cup [50ml]Glenfiddich 18yr old Scotch whisky
1/2 tsp [2ml] nutmeg
1tsp [5ml] cornstarch
1 egg
In a small saucepan,combine butter, sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg over low heat.
Stirring constantly add in whisky and heat until bubbly
Remove from stoveand quickly stir in beaten egg.
Return to heat and bring to boil over low heat .
Continue stirring and cook one or two minutes.
Remove from heat and spoon warm sauce over pudding or serve separately in a small jug
