4 lamb blades chops
Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp. olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 bay leaf
1 can (14 ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup canned chick peas
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Hot couscous for 4 (comes instant)
Lemon wedges to dress

This recipe is best cooked 8 hours on low in a crock pot.

Coat the crock pot with nonstick cooking spray. Season the chops with salt an pepper and brown on both sides in skillet. Transfer to slow cooker.

Add onions to grease in skillet. Add garlic, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, salt, pepper and bay leaf. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in tomatoes with juice, chickpeas, water and lemon juice. Simmer 2 minutes. Pour mixture over lamb chops in slow cooker. Cover and cook low 8 hours or high 4 hours.

Serve over couscous.
