1 heaping T. melted butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk(reg. milk +1T vinegar or lemon juice)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
3-1/2 c. to 4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients. If dough is too sticky add the extra flour for easier handling. Roll out onto a well floured surface. Cut with floured doughnut cutter about 3/4 inches thick. Fry in deep fryer at 385º. Careful not to over crowd or oil will cool off and product will not be good. Drain on paper towel and dust with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar.
