4-5 c, tomato juice
3 T. oil or shortening
5 T. flour
whole cloves (optional)
salt to taste
Dumpling:
1 c. flour
3 eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil or shortening in pan, add flour, and stir until flour become light golden (careful not to burn). Add tomato juice slowly stirring to incorporate well. Add 6 whole cloves and bring to low boil.
Making Dumplings:
Combine eggs and flour well. With clean spoon dip into hot soup. Using hot spoon, add dumplings to soup, cover and allow to cook for 10 more minutes.
