Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Beef roast
2 medium onions diced
4-5 carrots sliced
2 T. flour, ( or more (measurement is approximate ))
water
1/2 tsp. paprika
!/2 tsp garlic powder,(or fresh garlic or garlic salt)
pinch red pepper
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Trim beef roast (save fat) and cut into very large bite-sized chucks. Using a stainless steel heavy pan ( do not use a stickless type pan , you want the meat to stick to pan so it creates flavor) brown some of the fat till you have at least 4 T of melted fat in pan. Take out solids leaving melted fat . Brown beef chunks in fat and cook several minutes till done.. Add flour to pan and stir .(It will stick all over meat and stick to pan) . Let it brown a little. .Add approx. 2 cups water ( or enough so it makes a thin gravy) Stirring till you get right consistency, scraping bottom of pan till all that is stuck comes off. Add vegetables and seasonings. Cover and simmer till vegetables are done. Stir bottom of pan often while it cooks as it will stick. Add more water if needed or uncover and simmer if it is not thick enough.
