Apple Crumble Recipe

2/3 C Flour
1/3 C Rolled Oats
3 T Sugar
1/2 C (1 stick) Butter

FILLING

4 Large Apples
2 T Firmly packed Brown sugar
1 t Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 2-quart baking dish.

For the topping, place the flour, rolled oats, granulated sugar and butter in a large bowl. mix well.

For filling, peel, core and slice the apples. Layer apple slices in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the apple slices. Sprinkle the topping mixture over the top.

Bake @ 425º until the apples have softened and the crumble is lightly golden, 20-25 minutes.

Serve warm.

You can place the apples with fresh berries, but sprinkle 1 T flour over them before covering with the crumble. The flour binds the liquid given off by the berries so the crumble doesn't become soggy.
