9 " pie pan.
4-5 cups chopped apples (I like Spy or Ida Reds)
1 ½ cup sugar (if apples are already sweet use only 1 cup)
1 T. flour
1 T. of butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Combines all ingredients in glass bowl and microwave on high for 2 min. Pour into an unbaked pie shell, cover with top crust, and brush with milk. Sprinkle top crust with white sugar. Bake at 375º for 50-60 min. Careful for running over in oven. Oh so good!

No one made an apple pie as good as my mother, but my sister Betty's are really close. I must use spelt flour for our special family members who can't have wheat. You can't tell the difference.
