1 stick butter
1/2 c. plus 3 tabs flour
1 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp cayenne
3 c. milk
5(6 1/2oz) cans minced clams undrained
I use 2 of those chopped
2 med. carrots coarsely grated
2 med. red potatoes boiled peeled and diced
1 med onion diced
1/4 tsp. dried sw. basil
1 tsp. dried rosemary
1 c. sour cream

Melt butter in 4 qt. saucepan over med. heat. Add flour, salt and cayenne. stir until smooth. Remove from heat and add milk all at once and whisk thoroughly. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 1 hour. stirring occasionally.
