Ingredients:
(This is the way I make soup for my family, Maxine )
In a 6 quart pot add 2 quarts water
2 large sweet onions (coarsely diced)
2 sticks of celery (chopped)
1 1/2 t0 2 cups diced carrots
Boil for 10 minutes
Add 4 medium white potatoes (diced)
1 lb lean hamburger meat (browned)
Boil 10 minutes
Add 28 oz can of unseasoned tomatoes (crushed)
1 can green beans (cooked)
2 tbsp salt
1 tbsp black ground pepper
1/4 tsp oregano
Bring to a boil, set on simmer until everything is tender, about an hour. This makes more than a gallon of delicious soup.
