1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light syrup
Stir in 2 qt. glass pitcher. Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Add: 1 c. raw peanuts. Stir. Cook 4 more minutes. Add: 1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. butter
1 small bag of butterscotch chips
8 oz. white bark oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda

Stir well. Spread thin on a buttered cookie sheet. Chill and break into pieces.
Variation: Pour into 8 x 8 inch buttered pan. Chill. Break into pieces and dip in melted chocolate.

The second time I made this I was taking it to Maryland Casualty's Christmas treat day. The batch was cooked too long. Larry convinced me to take it anyway. It was the first tray of goodies to disappear. Guess people didn't make brittle much then?
