1.5 ea. White Onion, diced
3 tbsp. Garlic, chopped
2 tsp. Basil Leaves
2 tsp. Oregano Leaves
3 c. White Wine
3 qt. Water
1/2 c. Lemon Juice
2 lbs. Butter 60/40 block
3 tbsp. Clam Base
1/4 c. Corn Starch
2 oz. Butter, liquid

Directions:
Heat lg saucepot under med-high heat. Add butter and diced onion,saute until onions become translucent. Add garlic, basil,and oregano. Saute additional 2 minutes. Pour in white wine and reduce until almost dry. Add water, lemon juice and clam base, bring to boil. Add butter blocks and make a cornstarch slurry in separate bowl. Once sauce returns to a boil, add cornstarch slurry in small amounts while whisking thoroughly until desired consistency is reached. Add additional clam base if needed to achieve desired flavor.
