Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
2 cups warm water
2 pkgs. active dry yeast or 4 1/2 tsp.
Dissolve yeast in water
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
Mix sugar, salt and eggs and combine
with yeast and water mixture.
6 cups flour
2 T. shortening
Add 2 cups of the flour to the above
mixture then add the 2 T. shortening.
Add remaining flour and knead until
smooth.

Make into rolls. Cover and allow 2 or more hours for rising.
This recipe makes 16 to 20 large rolls.
Bake 400º 12-15 minutes and have a golden brown top.
Dough keeps well in the refrigerator for several days.

We always wanted Mom (Lucille Brown) to make these rolls for every family dinner. I have used this dough to make cinnamon rolls, caramel pecan rolls and cinnamon raisin bread. Mine are never as good as Mom's.
