Slaw:
large head of cabbage
large green pepper
large sweet onion
1 cup sugar


Dressing:
1 c. vinegar, cider or white
3/4 cup cooking oil (vegetable, canola, etc.)
2 t. dried mustard
2 T. sugar
1 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Rough chop cabbage, green pepper and onion and put in salad bowl. Pour the cup of sugar over top of slaw.

Blend dressing ingredients together in a sauce pan. Bring mixture to a boil. Pour hot dressing over slaw. DO NOT STIR. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours, then stir all together. Can keep in refrigerator for up to a week.

This is one of my favorite recipes, don't know why I don't make it more often. This is one you get up in the middle of the night, open the fridge door and sneak a spoonful.
