In large pot add:
2 cups A-1 Sauce
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
4 lemons, juiced and add to pot with rinds
2 oranges, juiced and add to pot with rinds
¼ cup brown sugar
2 stick butter
1-15 oz. can tomato sauce
2 tsp. BBQ spice

Directions:

Boil until thick and use to baste meats as they cook.
(Dad always bought a new cotton mop to baste meat when he cooked for a crowd.)

I remember that Dad loved it when we burned cookies. He liked to eat them! Other favorite snacks were clabbered milk and limburger cheese. Scrambled eggs and brains was a favorite breakfast. He loved to barbeque and built a brick barbeque pit at each home that we lived in after moving to Tulia from Lubbock. He would barbeque sides of beef, pork and goat and serve with this barbeque sauce.
