CRUST:
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (1 whole inner packet, plus 3 more squares)
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons melted butter

FILLLING:
19 ounces softened cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs

TOPPING:
1 pint sour cream (2 cups), room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350º.

2. For crust, mix crumbs and sugar; stir in butter, and press onto bottom and sides of DEEP 10-inch pie plate. Bake 10 min. Cool completely.

3. For filling, reduce oven to 300º. Beat cream cheese and sugar; add vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time, just until blended. Don't overbeat. Pour into crust and bake 45 minutes, or until center is almost firm.

4. For topping, mix together the sour cream, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour evenly over cake and bake 15 minutes more.

5. Cool. Chill at least 3 hours.

1981. Recipe was printed in bottom of a pie dish Mom bought me, and it became my favorite cheesecake recipe from then on. Same taste as Mom's recipe, but a larger cake.
