7 merlitons, peeled & seeded
4 small bellpeppers, sliced
2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 t. tumeric
4 small onions, sliced
1/2 t. salt
2 1/2 c vinegar
1/4 t, liquid crab boil

Directions:
Directions:
Mix merlitons, onions & bellpeppers. Sprinkle salt over mixture. Set in colander to drain for 4 hours. Bring salt, sugar, vinegar, tumeric and crab boil to a boil. Place vegetables in sterilized jars. Pour liquid over vegetables in jars. Seal pickles in jars in water bath. Allow to cure 3 days before eating.
