1 egg
1 c. softened butter
1 1/2 c. white sugar
4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large bowl: beat 1 egg with 1 c. softened butter or margarine until light and fluffy. At low speed of an electric mixer, add 1/2 c. sour cream, 1 tsp. vanilla and dry ingredients. Mix until combined using hands if neccessary. Cover dough and refrigerate for several hours or overnight. Remove dough from refrigerator. Preheat oven to 375 ºF. Roll chilled dough out on a lightly floured surface to 1/8 inch thick. Cut dough into desired shapes. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 ºF for 10 to 12 minutes.
