1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup corn syrup
4 cups or less of chopped pecans

On medium-low heat stir ingredients together until sugar is boiling and the sticky syrup is covering the nuts. Turn out onto wax paper to cool. Break apart once cooled and keep in sealed container to keep fresh.

These add a nice touch and they help my kids eat their salad as it is like eating candy! Keep your eye on everybody as somehow the nuts get picked out of the salad very quickly if they even make it there. Sometimes when we were kids my mom would make a batch for a treat. She would put them out to cool and come back to empty wax paper!!!
