7 cups thinly sliced cucumbers
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup thinly sliced onion
2 cups sugar
1 very scant teaspoon celery seed
1 cup vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Thinly slice onions and cucumbers. Sprinkle salt on cucumbers and onions. Allow to stand for one hour. Rinse and drain. Heat the sugar, vinegar, and celery seed and pour over cucumbers. Place in refrigerator for a day. Serve cold. Keeps for a long time.
