2 tbsp butter
1 med onion, finely chopped
1 1/2 c long grain rice
3 c boiling water or chicken stock
pinch of pepper
pinch of thyme
1 bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in large frying pan. Add onion and cook about 10 minutes. Add rice and saute about 2 minutes. Add water and spices. Stir once with a fork. Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
