1 c. chopped onion
1/4c. chopped green pepper
1T. fat
2 pounds ground beef
2 8 ounce cans (2cups) tomato sauce
1/2c. chili sauce
1 tsp salt
3 T. vinegar
1 tsp dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
Chop enough onion to make 1 cup. Wash pepper and cut into small pieces to equal 1/4 cup. Heat the fat in a large skillet. Add meat and cook until brown. Add onion and green pepper, cook about 5 min longer. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Let mixture simmer for 20-25 minutes.

I have adapted this recipe for a larger batch. I use 3 lbs of ground chuck, increase tomato sauce to 1 15 ounce and 1 8ounce can. I use 1 12 ounce jar chili sauce rinsed out with 1/2 c water. Adjust the onion and green pepper to suit your taste.
