6 rib pork chops
1 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 c chopped celery
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp minced onion
1 tbsp chopped parsley
3 tart red apples
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp savory seasoning
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp celery seed

Directions:
Directions:
For stuffing, cook celery, onion and parsley in butter for a few minutes, add bread crumbs and seasoning and stir until well mixed. Wipe chops with damp cloth, cut pocket in each chop. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper and rub lightly with flour. Sear chops in a hot skillet. Fill each chop with stuffing and skewer edges together with toothpicks. Lay chops on rack in baking dish. On top of each place, cut side down, one half apple which has been cored but not peeled. Cover closely and bake in moderate oven 45 mins.
