4 tbsp yeast
1 cup warm water
2 cups scalded milk
4 eggs - beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter - melted
1 tsp. ground cardamon
1 tsp. salt
1 cup raisins
1 cup fruit mix - optional
8 to 9 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
In large bowl combine warm milk, butter, eggs, sugar, cardamon, and salt.
Add dissolved yeast, raisins ( fruit mix if used) and 4 cups flour. Mix thoroughly.
Add remaining flour to make a soft dough. Mix well.
Knead 10 minutes.
Place dough in greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double (approx 2 hours).
Divide dough into 12 to 15 rounds. Let rise.
Bake at 350º to 375º 20 to 25 minutes.
