1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
2 eggs (well beaten)
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 tsp. salt
1 c. flaked coconut
1 c. golden raisins
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:

Cream butter and vanilla extract until softened, add sugar gradually, (beat well after each addition) add eggs in thirds; beat until fluffy. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together; add in fourths to creamed mixture; beat until blended after each addition. Stir in coconut, raisins, and nuts. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º about 8 minutes, or until delicately browned.
