3 c. applesauce
2½ c. sugar
1 c. melted shortening
3 tsp. soda
4 c. plain flour
1 box raisins
1½ c. nuts
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Heat applesauce, add soda, sugar, and shortening. Blend into flour which has been sifted with spices. Take a tablespoon of flour & mix with raisins and nuts. Pour in a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 300° for 2 to 2½ hours.
