1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. boiling water

2 1/4 c. sifted flour ( I remember Mom using only Soft as Silk cake flour, Ruthie)
3 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. wesson oil
5 egg yolks, unbeaten
3/4 c. cold water
2 tsp. vanilla

1 c. egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tarter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cocoa, sugar, & water in small bowl. Set aside to cool.
Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, & salt.
Make a well & add oil, yolks, water & vanilla.
In large bowl, beat egg whites & cream of tarter
Pour batter over whites, fold to blend.
Add cooled chocolate to 1/3 batter in medium bowl.
In tube cake pan, alternate vanilla/choco batters.
Zig-zag, in & out when pouring batters.
Bake 325º for 55 min, then 350º for 15 min
Remove from oven & turn upside down on beer bottle until cool.
