quart of tomatoes (Mom always used her canned ones)
box of elbow macaroni (about 8 oz)
salt
pepper
onion, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Bring 2 quarts of water to a rapid boil. Add the macaroni and cook uncovered until macaroni is tender. Drain. Add tomatoes, chopped onion, and salt and pepper to taste.

Mom made this recipe several times when we were growing up. Mine has never tasted quite like hers.
